Duck shooters per electorate

The number of duck shooters per postcode was obtained from Game Management Authority and collated against electoral data of October 2018.

The result showed that most electorates - over half of them - had between zero and half of one percent of voters who were duck shooters.

31% of electorates had between 0.5 and 1 percent of voters who were duck shooters. Just over 10% of electorates had between 1-2% of voters who were duck shooters and only 4 had between 2 and 2.48% of voters who were duck shooters.

No electorate had any more than 2.48% of voters who were duck shooters.

The Victorian state average is less than half of one percent of constituents who still shoot our native waterbirds.

Meanwhile, professional polls cotinue to show the majority of Victorians - city and country- want duck shooting banned.

Recreational duck shooting is banned in QLD, ACT, NSW and WA.
